You will need a canvas of any size pre-painted black, acrylic paint consisting of blue, red, yellow, black and white + OPTIONAL yellow ochre, naples yellow, any browns and metallics to put a shine on the rocks. The acrylic paints we use are from Curry's and we find it is good student-grade paint. The exact names read on our 2L bottles are bright red (non-orange kind), phtahalo blue, bright yellow, black or carbon black and titanium white.
You will need an assortment of synthetic brushes consisting of 2 detailed brushes #0 and #2, a medium flat or round brush #4 and a large flat or mop/round brush. A water cup and paper towel to rinse and dry off your brushes.
